Who are we?
John Bray Cornish Holidays let over 280 of the very best located cottages and holiday homes in North Cornwall. All of our properties are situated on the North coast of Cornwall in the stunning destinations of Rock, Daymer Bay, Polzeath and Port Isaac.
We have something to suit everyone, from modern sea facing apartments to traditional cottages and larger cliff top houses for big family groups. We have over 120 dog friendly cottages, small romantic retreats to escape to, as well as luxury accommodation in spectacular settings. We welcome short breaks out of peak season and offer late availability bookings for when that moment to get away strikes!
All our holiday homes can be found within just a 5-mile radius in an area of outstanding natural beauty. Most have spectacular sea views and all are within 1 mile of the coast.
What areas do we cover?
This beautiful area of North Cornwall offers so much choice for holidaymakers to relax and explore whether you’re 6 or 60. Long stretches of fine sandy beaches contrast with rugged cliffs, while miles of coastal paths are a walker’s paradise offering sensational views. Rock, on the protected Camel Estuary is just a short ferry ride away from Padstow and the foodie delights of Rick Stein and Paul Ainsworth. As well as exploring the sandy dunes and indulging in some retail therapy, you can also try your hand at sailing, water-skiing, wakeboarding as well as diving, fishing and sea safari excursions. Lessons can be booked in advance for novices.
Gently shelving beaches like dog-friendly Daymer Bay are perfect for small children who will love exploring the rock pools and building sandcastles on the beach. Nearby you can discover the pretty St Enodoc church or enjoy a round of golf at the championship St Enodoc course.
Round on the Atlantic coast, Polzeath beach offers some of the best surfing in Britain and the most spectacular sunsets to be enjoyed from the many restaurants and beach side cafes, whilst listening to the local brass band play their weekly concerts on the green. Just a few miles further you reach the traditional fishing village of Port Isaac with its historic harbour, winding cobbled streets and picture postcard whitewashed cottages. Enjoy Michelin starred food at Nathan Outlaw, locally brewed Sharp’s and St Austell ales and free open-air concerts given by the Fisherman’s Friends. Browse the art galleries and shops or stretch your legs and visit the nearby National Trust ports of Port Quin and Port Gaverne for a spot of wild swimming or coasteering.
