With more than 100 designated dark sky locations around the UK, astronomy is losing its geeky hang-ups and joining the cool gang. It’s acquired a cooler name too: stargazing. While in low light pollution destinations like the Brecon Beacons you can view the Milky Way with the naked eye on a clear night, a telescope is always handy for seeking a little more detail.
