Accommodation

Ground floor

Sitting room with wood burning stove (logs provided), flatscreen TV with Freeview and DVD player, books and games.

Dining room / study with dining table (seats 4), wood burning stove, desk.

Kitchen with underfloor heating, electric oven, electric hob, microwave, fridge / freezer, dishwasher. Large pantry with ample storage.

Utility room with washing machine, tumble dryer and basin.

Cloakroom with WC.

Boot room - secure, heated boot room accessed from the back hall and from outside which is ideal for the storage of outdoor kit such as bicycles, golf clubs and walking and beach gear and is a great place for doggy guests.

First floor

Bedroom one with 5’ bed, chest of drawers and large cupboard / wardrobe.

Bedroom two with two 3’ beds which can be pushed together to make a comfortable super-king. Chest of drawers, hanging space provided by door hook and hangers.

Family bathroom with underfloor heating, bath with shower over and additional handheld shower, basin and WC.

Heating

The cottage has electric central heating throughout with underfloor heating in the kitchen and bathroom and additional heating is provided by log burners in the sitting room and dining room. Logs are provided.

Garden

There is a lovely small enclosed cottage garden to the front of the property which includes a paved sitting area. This faces south and gets the sun for most of the day. The herbaceous planting is a haven for bees, butterflies and birds (feeders and food provided) but if you like lawns and straight lines it may not be for you!

Parking

There is parking for one car on the gravelled area (not on the flagstones) in front of the cottage. There is limited on-street parking nearby.

Wi-fi and mobile coverage

There is wi-fi at the cottage. There is limited or no mobile coverage on most networks in this area. A landline is provided for emergency calls.

Guest amenities

The beds are made up with high quality bed linen, feather and duck down duvets and pillows. A hair dryer is supplied in the master bedroom. Bath sheets and hand towels are provided for all guests. Guest hand soaps are provided. Logs are provided.

Babies and children

A travel cot and high chair are available on request.

Catering

Artist’s Cottage can be taken on a purely self-catered basis, or a cook is available throughout guests’ stay, for breakfasts or dinners only or to provide one-off celebratory meals for a special occasion. A homemade meal delivery is available which is popular for guest’s first night and wine delivery is available in conjunction with renowned wine merchants Corney & Barrow.

Dogs

One well-behaved dog is welcome at Artist's Cottage. Two small dogs by prior agreement with the owners. Dogs must be kept to the ground floor. There is a small fee of £10 per dog.
