Fowey sits on the south coast of Cornwall, between Plymouth and Falmouth, in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Its attractive buildings range along the west side of the Fowey Estuary, overlooking the large, deep harbour that is a magnet for sailors. A Fowey cottage with sea views will keep you busy for hours, just watching the boats.
Take a cruise out to sea for the best views of the town – then choose from one of many bistros, cafés or restaurants to sample the best of the local produce. Fowey River mussels are a highlight for seafood lovers. Needless to say Fowey is also a great place to learn to sail, with a wide range of tuition available.
Thanks to the town’s location, a Fowey holiday cottage also offers a great base to explore some of Cornwall’s biggest attractions – both the Eden Project and Lost Gardens of Heligan are within easy reach.
