Get set for an extra-special holiday! This unspoilt part of Cornwall is criss-crossed with walking trails, plus golden beaches, glorious gardens and fascinating towns and villages. The cottage itself is an irresistible mix of traditional charm and modern comforts. Boasting a terrace with wonderful views as well as a wood burner, Smart TV and board games for cosy evenings indoors, it’s perfect for couples and small families. Head up the steps and into the utility room, adjacent to a cloakroom with a WC. Step through to the kitchen/breakfast room, with its farmhouse-style table, ornamental range cooker and beamed ceiling. There’s another dining table in the lounge/diner, a characterful room with a slate floor, deep-set windows and traditional wood burner. With its choice of seating and Smart TV, this is definitely a home from home. Don’t forget to bring a book for the book-swap area! Another place in which you’ll want to snuggle up for some tranquil moments is the cheery sunroom. Upstairs you’ll find two charming bedrooms, which share a bright and airy family bathroom. The king-size room has rural views from its skylight, and boasts a sloping, timber-clad ceiling with some low areas. For fresh air, you can sip a coffee on the front patio or take the steps up to the gravelled sun terrace and enjoy the views while dining alfresco. This wonderful escape is located in a tranquil spot near the village of Veryan on the Roseland Peninsula. Hike the coast path and join up with inland trails to create fabulous circular walks. Porthcurnick Beach, 5 miles away, has a fabulous cafe, while the Lost Gardens of Heligan are just 8 miles distant, and the harbour town of St Mawes is 10 miles away.
